Level 3 award in risk assessment
principles & practice.

This course is designed to enable all staff levels to carry out risk assessments in the work place. It is a legal duty to assess health and safety risks in the work place and this course ensures that you will have the necessary knowledge and skills to carry out risk assessments.

The course will cover subject areas including:

  • Legislation
  • Principles of risk assessment
  • Prioritising risk
  • Controls
  • Documentation
  • Monitoring controls
  • Risk assessment in practice

The assessment method for this qualification is by assignment, based on the candidates own work environment and by self-evaluation. The total guided learning hours is 20 hours with one day (7 hours) being allocated to the classroom. This is the estimated time candidates may take to complete both the taught element of the programme and the post course assignment. On successful completion of the course you will be issued with a QCA Accredited CIEH Level 3 Award in Risk Assessment Principles and Practice.

The maximum number of candidates that can be accommodated on this course is twelve.
