First aid at work.

Employers today have a duty of care to provide a safe and healthy environment for employees, clients and visitors. This is a requirement made under the Health and Safety Regulations. An assessment of the work place may emphasize the need for qualified First Aiders. This three day comprehensive course covers all aspects of First Aid, allowing candidates to deal confidently and effectively with an emergency situation. Upon completion and subject to assessment, the candidate will gain a First Aid at Work qualification and will be issued a certificate which will be valid for a three year period as approved by the Health and Safety Executive.

The course consists of both theoretical and practical activities that cover subject areas including:

  • Legalities, responsibilities and reporting
  • Meningitis
  • Poisons
  • Shock
  • Strains & sprains
  • Stroke
  • Unconscious casualty

The maximum number of candidates that can be accommodated on this course is twelve.
